Connect Instagram

Before you start

• The Instagram account must be a Professional account (Business or Creator). You can switch in the Instagram app under Settings and privacy.
• It must be linked to a Facebook Page that you manage.
• Allow access to messages must be on in Instagram, under the message controls in Settings and privacy. Without it Instagram does not pass messages to any tool.

Steps

1. In WizzenAI, open Integrations, find Instagram and choose Connect.
2. Choose Continue with Facebook and allow the permissions in the window that opens. Instagram sign-in goes through the Facebook Page it is linked to.
3. WizzenAI checks three things in order: the account is a Professional account, it is linked to a Facebook Page, and message access is on. Each check that fails shows its own message and how to fix it. Fix it in Instagram, then choose Try again.
4. WizzenAI turns on delivery of Instagram messages and comments.
5. Choose which assistant answers on Instagram, or no assistant and chats land in your Inbox.
6. Choose Done.

If you already connected a Facebook Page and chose to connect its Instagram account at the same time, you do not need to do this again.

If something goes wrong

• Not a professional account. Switch the account to Professional in Instagram, then try again.
• Not linked to a Page. In Instagram, open Edit profile, then Page, and link the account to your Facebook Page.
• Message access is off. Turn on Allow access to messages in Instagram.
• The account is connected to another WizzenAI business. It is listed with Move it here. Moving it keeps the other business's past chats and stops new ones going there.
