Add the chat widget to your website

Before you start

  • You need to be able to edit the pages of your website, or the part of the site settings where you can add custom code.
  • The widget works on custom sites, Wix, Webflow and Squarespace. WordPress and Shopify plugins come after launch.

Steps

  1. In WizzenAI, open Integrations, find Website chat widget and choose Connect.
  2. Enter your website address.
  3. Copy the snippet with the Copy button. It is one script line that contains your widget key.
  4. Paste it before the closing body tag on every page where you want the chat. In a site builder, use the area for custom code in the footer or the end of the page.
  5. Publish your site, then choose Check installation in WizzenAI. WizzenAI waits for the widget to report from your site and then shows Widget found, domain verified.
  6. Choose which assistant answers on the website, or no assistant and chats land in your Inbox.
  7. Choose Done.

Good to know

  • The widget key works only on the website addresses you verified.
  • The widget uses your logo, brand colour and your assistant's name. It always shows an AI badge, and its footer links to your privacy notice. A visitor can ask for a person at any time, and your team takes over from there.
  • A visitor's chat is saved, so they find the same conversation after they reload the page.

If something goes wrong

  • Check installation does not find the widget. Make sure the snippet is on the page at the address you entered, and that you published the change. Then try again.
  • The widget does not show. Some site builders keep custom code only on the published site, not in the preview. Open your live address.
  • A security tool or content policy on your site blocks the script. Allow the widget address shown in the snippet.
